The Sung of jimydancer

Those vines structured in strength and guarded by thorns, bristling in the essence of life. I am born to the summer sun and symbolic of love and friendship. I come in peace and grow in love; my strengths matured in nature and glorified in the river of time that is life. I am that that I am and then more. I am man. I am yellow in friendship, white in peace and red in love. My fragrance is male, my petals are reflections in time, and my core is the joy in Mother Nature. My expressions are many and my roots are deep, Like the rose, I am red clinging to long and slender vines. Those vines structured in strength and guarded by thorns,. I love, live, and grow in the son of the Father, and find my passion in mother's comforts in the moonlight. I am man.

"Jimydancer on Cosby"

Unlike much of the world, we ignore human rights protections against discrimination on the basis of economic status. As a nation, we wage war on poor people in this country, not on poverty. In many ways we are a nation struggling to maintain our moral compass. Violence and dysfunction in poor black communities are under an especially glaring spotlight. But many of the problems Cosby addressed are largely a function of concentrated poverty in black communities -- the legacy of centuries of governmental and private neglect and discrimination .

I reposted and highlighted in red what I consider to be one of the most profound statements that I have read when it comes to internal strife that is considered the “us and them” in black folk. The fact that a Cosby and like minded does not recognize that regardless of his opinion he and his behavior facilitates and encourages that behavior and we all know that attack on the impoverished begins and ends in our neighborhoods.

It becomes increasingly obvious and that from the amount of following that his actions and perceptions received that it was what many that consider themselves to have made it were in need of. It in this opinion is inhuman and when we look at NO we see mans inhumanity at its worst. To an even greater extent we see the contempt in this nation for those that “ don’t make it “ and even greater contempt for those when they are black. When we see Cosby and we see NO I do believe we see our reality as a people today and the shame that it is when one that is up finds contempt and disrespect for his own. We have not come thus far but have went that far and we are not arrived but slaves another kind in the making
