The Dreamer

 I have dreamed a dreamer's dream.

I have known a dreamer's will.

I've known a dreamer's pain.

And saw my dreams stand still.

Though the pains be hard,

the way seems out of reach,

I shall kneel and pray to God

to find the love I seek.

Untitled

Giving up is not easy.

The spirit has will and reserve.

What peace there is in forgiveness.

What joy in receiving.

Coming to wits end,

and going on

and on

beyond self,

into the world of the unseen.

Asking,

receiving, strength for a moment,

and another,

still seeking a greater peace

and strength.

Tomorrow's weight gone today.

Questions never answered,

eternity threatens,

and spirits soar.

Life a challenge,

or a conquest,

or maybe jut for a moment,

my time is here.

The decision must be made,

life, or death.

What master,

what peace,

what way.

For here at the end,

I find the beginning.

I live.

KEÄPoem 7

A LADY BIRD

With a stealth and cunning eye,

I watched her as she flew

                    I knew right then

                                    from deep within,

                    as passion swelled and grew,

                                     To capture her,

                                    the lady bird,

was what I had to do.

I stalked her in her sheltered nest,

and wooed her to my lair.

                    Her virtues there beguiled me,

With love, I knew her there.

Her heart was so to please me,

                        caring just to share.

                    As as we grew,

                                    was then I knew,

                    to hold,

                                    and keep her there.

                    YES!

In the womb of her surrender,

                    as laughter grew refined,

                    Was then I find,

                                    with peace of mind,

                    was I too abind.

                    The trap of time

                                    was truly mine

and the lady bird is fine.

                    And she is

                        and so am I

                    a victim of my crime.
